Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) has concluded an “Memorandum of Understanding in creating a partnership whereby training, study, and research and research” (MoU) with a prestigious Italian university, Politecnico di Torino (PoliTO) on January 7, 2025.

PoliTO is Italy's longest-established national university in technology and is recognized as one of the world's top universities* in architecture, mechanical and aeronautical engineering, petroleum engineering, and civil engineering.

In 2023, PoliTO became the first Italian university to open a Japanese base, the PoliTO Japan Hub, in Kyoto, promoting collaboration with Japanese universities and companies. On November 15 last year, officials visited the OIT Umeda Campus to explore the possibility of future collaboration. This led to the conclusion of this MoU.
