Welcome to Murakawa IP Lab!
My name is Kazuo Murakawa, a professor of Graduate school of Intellectual
Property (IP), Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT). I am a doctor of engineer
and professional Engineer of Japan. My jobs in OIT are professional education
and research on IP and technical standards, and IP utilization, now. Before
coming to OIT, I worked for NTT and NTT east. At that time, my major was
EMC measurements and mitigations, and lightning protection for telecom
installations.
I believe intangible assets like as IP are becoming more and more important
for business areas. Because tangible assets for instances, hardware and
software, business models are easily copied by the third party, so they
should be protected by IP rights, know-how and IP strategies. As you know,
IP rights have strong power to exclude infringers by injunction and claims
damages. If you have a good IP, you have chances for business collaboration
and to receive investments. Our graduate school will provide you many opportunities
for obtaining IP professional practical skills and have many options for
classroom learning and online learning. We can provide more than 60 subjects
including IP laws, IP management, IP strategy and so on.
