On April 17, Dr. Bandhit Rojarayanont, President of Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), visited OIT for the purpose of strengthening partnership.
To educate students to become engineers with practical skills and knowledge, TNI was established in 2007. Since the first year of the establishment, collaboration between TNI and OIT has been realized through exchange programs for both students: OIT offers an intensive course on Japanese style manufacturing for TNI students, while TNI provides our students with a cultural activities program in Thailand. In addition, OIT implemented two PBL (Project-Based Learning) programs in cooperation with TNI when our students and teaching staff went to Thailand last year.
First, Dr. Bandhit met with Dr. Kawata, Vice-president of OIT. Next, the president of TNI attended a meeting about our future collaboration with Dr. Shinkai, Director of International Center. And last, he visited “Center for Monodzukuri Management” (a manufacturing management center). In the center, Dr. Minagawa, Deputy of Human resources group of the Center, explained to him on the facilities of the Center and the outline of our intensive course offered to TNI students.
OIT strongly hopes that the two institutions would build better relationship.
