OIT concluded a memorandum of agreement on international student exchange in the field of urban design with University of Stavanger (UiS) on June 1, 2015.
UiS is a public university located in Stavanger, Norway, with population of more than 300,000. The number of students is approximately 10,100. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs through the faculty of social science, the faculty of arts and education, and the faculty of science and engineering.
UiS has a number of international cooperative partners mainly in Europe, but OIT is its first partner university in Japan. In September, a graduate student majoring in urban design engineering will go to UiS to do research activity for two months as the first student exchange after conclusion of the agreement.
Taking this opportunity, we are expecting further development in academic cooperation and student exchange with UiS.
