OIT concluded a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on academic and student exchange with East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai, China on March 17, 2017.
ECUST is a public university which is established in 1952 originally as an institute of chemical technology and then evolved into a comprehensive university in 1993. Owing 15 departments and more than 24,000 students, it is one of the national key universities in the “Project 211” of China.
Student exchanges have already begun between the two universities since 2016, as OIT sent one student to ECUST in the Overseas Research Experience Program, and accepted three students from ECUST for their lab work in the Department of Applied Chemistry.
It is expected that this MoU will lead to further academic collaborations between ECUST and OIT.
