ニュース Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering observed online the final competition of iPBL held by STUST, Taiwan

トピックス English
On August 13, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST), one of our partner universities in Taiwan, held the final competition of the International Project-Based Learning (iPBL), with OIT students and professors participating online as observers. The program theme was “Intelligent Mobile Robot” and teams of STUST students competed against each other in an obstacle race using autonomous cars.

The iPBL, which is usually held during the summer vacation between STUST, University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJR), Philippines, and OIT has been postponed since last year due to the global spread of COVID-19. In this situation, it was a very meaningful time for our students to interact with students from abroad.

Participants from the OIT side were several members who participated in the last iPBL held in 2019. In addition to OIT, USJR and universities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Indonesia also participated in this online event as observers, creating an international mood and making it a great success.

*The program was introduced on the web page of Taiwanese newspaper "Economic Daily News" (in Chinese).
