On April 18, Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in the U.S. to promote academic collaboration between both universities, increasing the links among their different academic fields, with a special stress on teaching, research, cultural promotion and other areas.
In the past, students of Prof. Masahiro Muraoka of the Department of Applied Chemistry in the Faculty of Engineering have studied in UNR under the Overseas Research Experience Program. Although exchange had been suspended for some time due to COVID-19, it is hoped that the conclusion of the MOU will stimulate exchange between UNR and OIT.
